If you don't want to use desktop or web based feed readers, your web browser can also serve as a news aggregator. Different platforms, different solutions


Firefox




  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.

  2. Find the RSS button on the page or site you would like to follow and click on it. Or click on the orange RSS button in your url box.



  3. You should get something like that.

  5. Click on the Subscribe Now button




Internet Explorer 7




  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. If a website has a feed available, the red or orange RSS button in the toolbar is clickable.



  3. You can see a list of feeds after you click the button.



  4. Click on the “Subscribe to this feed” option to sign up.



How to read the articles?

Click the star-shaped icon on the left side of the toolbar to open the Favourite Centre. Click the Feeds button to see the latest news.



Safari


In Apple Safari, there is a blue “RSS” button displayed in the address bar indicating if there is an RSS for the site.



  1. Find the RSS feed of the particular site.

  2. Click the blue button in the address bar.

  4. Safari now will let you know when there is a new article on that site.
