Neurology Blog Carnivals
The blogosphere (even the medical one) is so huge it is hard to track all the blogs you are interested in. That is why bloggers organize blog carnivals, special types of blog events. Each edition is a collection of the best blogposts focusing on a particular topic and is published on a regular schedule.
Active blog carnivals
Brain Blogging
- Organizer: Shaheen Lakhan
- Description: "Send in any and all blog entries related to the brain and mind that you feel go beyond the basic sciences into a more human and multidimensional perspective."
Grand Rounds
- Organizer: It was organized by Nick Genes, but now is managed by Dr. Val.
- Description: Grand Rounds, established in 2004, is a weekly summary of the best medical blog posts on the Internet. Each week a different blogger takes a turn hosting Grand Rounds and summarizing the best medical and health care discussions of the week. It does not only focus on neurology, but usually covers neurological issues.
- Quality: The best and most comprehensive carnival about medicine.
Sharp Brains
- Organizer: Encephalon
- Description: "On August 26th, 2006, the blogger behind Neurophilosophy, launched the Encephalon blog carnival to present, every other week, a selection of the best neuroscience and psychology blog posts. It has been one of the most stimulating blog carnivals ever since, and we have been honored to help maintain the tradition since February 2008. Thanks Mo!"
